England Beat Brazil at Wembley Stadium

The Brazilian National’s were defeated 2-1 yesterday evening in London’s Wembley Stadium. This was Luiz Felipe Scolari’s first match back in charge, and Ronaldinho Gaucho missed a penalty for the Brazilians giving the game a bad start.

90,000 fans filled the stadium, as this match was in celebration of the 150th anniversary of England’s Football Association. Wayne Rooney helped get the English lead within the first 25 minutes of the match. Once Rooney sent home the rebounded kick, Brazil seemed to lose it’s energy in the game.

Luis Fabiano was replaced at the inetrval by Fred, which seemed t0 make an immediate difference, where at one point Fred smashed the ball past Joe Hart who was at the edge of the box. However, England still didn’t give up, and Frank Lampard eventually scored the winning goal for the English team.
